First Lutheran is beginning the work to plant their garden. This garden is one source of produce that is donated to United Way through their Plant an Extra Row project. Produce is distributed to individuals and families throughout the county. If you would like to be a part of this project, there are various gardening opportunities available.
The first one is Thursday, May 22 at 5 pm. Volunteers will meet at the church garage (822 Douglas St) to prepare 350 pounds of seed potatoes. Please bring knives and a pail if you can.
The following Tuesday (May 27th) at 9 am volunteers will gather at the church garden to plant.
Interested volunteers can just show up! No need to call! Many hands make for light work!
